well... i am not sure if its true but according to my friends (brothers) in kathmandu, who also run a paper and magazine in kathmandu.. i have come to know that the maoist are planning big if they do not get a place in the parliament or in other words if they do not get the political power of the country. jana andolan was fully planned by the maoist and not only that every thing that happened in the recent jana andolan was fully planned by only the maoist and not the other parties that claim to be along with the maoist. maoist wants nepal to be a communist country and if they do not be able to get their goals then they plan on taking over by force i mean by  taking over kathmandu by war and for that almost 75% of the total maoist are inside the valley and i have also come to know that they had hidden weapons which they did not submit to the UN and now they are going to use those weapons.

as far as the truth is concerned then i personally think it might be true by looking the current activities of the maoist and what they have been doing.

Guys, don't worry about that. The rest of the world is not blind and they won't tolerate such abuses. If the maoists are going to do that, the world is going to drop UN army over there soon, good bye to maoists. It doesn't matter whether they hold the election or not because they are only popular to the jerks who now cannot get away with the habit of robbing innocent people around.

Something bad is going on right now. People are again not safe in Tarai area and are flocking to Kathmandu just like during the Mao Conflict time. Lot of  family members who can afford to travel are leaving Kathmandu and heading to Canada, Australia and USA.

Garment industry is gone. In a recent interview in Kathmandu Post,  this guy who used to export Rs. One Billion annually had to shut down due to YCL aka Mao ko fiield officers. Pashmina and carpets are in pathetic state. Mao is not sparing any industry that has lots of labors.

I think the worst is the rise of militants in Terai. We never gave them the respect they deserves. Now they are flexing their muscles. Only if leaders could understand this national crisis, they could do something. That's a distant dream as NC and Mao cannot agree on simple things.

Some sort of uprising is inevitable. I wondered who will prevail at the finishing touch. Sadly, we will see lot of casualty on the way. Only time will tell, what fate has for all of us ( both back home and overseas Nepali).

 

This might be true. I mean i does make sense by looking at the present scenario of Kathmandu.

Don't you remember how US took over Iraq under the context of weapons of mass destruction and noone did jack about it? Why on earth would give a rats ass if Prachanda took over Nepal and started killing people.

Bottom line: never trust killers who have no value for human lives. In this day and age anyone who says that sacrificing lives of innocent people is good for a greater cause are uncivilized animals. We need to sacrifice our egos, racism, castism etc but sacrificing human lives HOPING for a better future? That's foolish. What if the future is not as one hoped for? All the sacrifice is wasted. One has to have value for human life first if one is hopes to make life better in the future.
