JTMM cadres abduct citizenship distribution officials:

Three days after the withdrawal of all 'military actions', cadres of Jwala Singh-led Janatantrik Tarai Mukti Morcha (JTMM) abducted three government officials in eastern Sunsari district Tuesday morning.

A team of government officials led by Parshu Ram Baidar had reached Chittah VDC in Sunsari to distribute citizenship certificates. Baidar is the chief of Urban Residence and Building Division based in Itahari.

Two other abducted officials are Saroj Kumar Bhattarai, secretary of Chhitaha VDC and Som Nath Pokharel who works at Aurahi Post Office. They were abducted from their rented rooms.

The JTMM said they were taken under control for interrogation about the dispute that ensued in Chittah VDC on Monday over the distribution of citizenships. The distribution of citizenship certificates has been stopped following the incident. nepalnews.com ia Mar 13 07

You definately do not know what Nepali born medishays look like. They are Nepali citizens too and should not be criticized or discriminated. So if all Indian looking Nepali people are medeshi- born in Indian then what do you say to the mongoloid looking people. Isn't that double standard? Probably madesh was assimilated later, but they have been a part of Nepali for centuries. There are people living in that part, and they are darker in complexion and share most of the religion and culture to the people across of the border. However, that should not mean are not Nepali.
Dhoti kurtha is worn as traditional dress in madesh for centuries. Do you guys comment on Sherpani wearing her traditional dress, if not why pick on madeshies?

I have an objection regarding a comment made on a photo where MPs of Nepal Sadhbhawana Party are entering the parliament in terai derss. If you think that wearing Daura Suruwal is being nepali, then you suck bigtime man. They can wear what they want to wear and if the government objects that, its not democracy.
