I heard that Nepalipost.com journalists are actually supporting the Maoists. To find out if this was true I checked their website and it did make me think why not. I did some more research through my contacts in DC area and found out that most of these guys are actually seeking political asylum in the USA. Whoooooooaaaaaaaaa! Could these two be related?

On the other hand its good to see a nepali language news site being operated in USA. Just sad to know that they could be "mukhpatra" of the terrorists organization.

There is nothing wrong with that. There are 100s of weekly nepali papers in Nepal (eg. Nispakshya) who supports GYANE and his chamcha 24/7. Even here in Sajha there are 100s of you who are Spokerperson of Gyane and to counter that one you gotta have something.

As far as I know, no one is completely neutral, especially the one who cares his or her country. One can claim that he or she does not like 'politics' but this is completely false if he or she loves his or her country. Without politics, nothing can be imagined for a development of the country and social life. For those who claims to hate politics, it is better not to call them 'citizen' of a country. Politics can not be wrong but the players of the politics.

As far as Jurnos, they also have thier own interests and preferences. Their preferences can easily be seen in their publications. However, if he or she provides the chances to all sectors of writers and news, we can group them as neutral. But, if they just focus on a particular group or vested interests of their donor (examples: Nepaljapan.com, Nispakchhe and Jahadharana (100% favor for palace), Janadesh (100% for Maoists), Distri and Budhabar (100% for UML), Deshantar and Bimarsa (100% for NC-Girija), Punarjagaran (100% for NC-Deuwa) and so on.

However, Kantipur, Samacharpatra, Nepalipost.com etc. are considered to be neutral (Before Royal take over on 1st Feb, 2005) because we can see the news and analysis from different sectors. However, it is not difficult to see Kantipur inclined to Congress, Samacharpatra to UML and Nepalipost.com to Leftists.

I am reading Nepalipost.com and I can see news analysis from many sectors. Examples are
1. Analysis by Dr. Baburam Bhattarai (Maoists) and other journalists from Janadesh
2. Analysis by Krisna Pahadi (Human rights.. do not blame Pahadi as maoist: remind that his wealth was captured by maoists last year)
3. Marichman Shing's interview (It is fair to group under Palace)
4. Pradip Nepal's Interview (UML) and other UML supported analysis
5. I found some congress lining journalists are also writing there... and so on.

For complete prof, I request NepaliCNN to write an analysis and send for publication to Nepalipost.com. I think they will publish your article. But I have very bitter experience with Nepaljapan.com because they not only reject article which are not in thier group but also dangerously twist the writings in favor of Palace and highlight the sentenses. Later I heard that Nepaljapan.com is operated by the 'Chamcha' of palace under palace's complete financial support and I stopped sending the articles to them. You have choice to read or not to read. So why worry? If you dont like dont read, thats simple. About Krishna Pahadi, he is a brave man. But if he writes other thing than human rights or politics (such as water resources, forests in Nepal) then I think the artilce's standard is around 7/ 8 grade's essay.
I read whatever I like. About Nepaljapan.com, ya I also have the feeling that it is sponsered from somewhere. The only thing I like nepaljapan.com is pictures from Rajesh Dhungana.

I agree with Futruenepal's definition about journalisim, and Nepe is right that nepalipost can't be called Maobadi's mukhpatra.
Yes nepali post has done some share of good journalism by reporting various news (about UML, Marichman etc).
But the most stricking point is that sometime they seem to be the only source of Prachanda's letters. Even kantipuronlie had reported
Nepalipost.com as source of Prachanda's letter. Not only that I have never read anything negative about Maoist in their paper (except once they condem killing of some journo by maoists). I guess that's called fair journalism in their view. Certainly they can't be called Maobadi's Mukh-parta, if they do so in US, they will be deported immediately(and their assylum paper would be dismissed). Rather they are supporting Maoists from behind which is a sure sign of Maobadi's CHAK-PATRA.
