The only option the corrupt politicians and their sons have now is to bark like a dog.......

Go ahead and bark again..............but nobody gives a damn to your barking.

Hail to the king.

These are tough times - politics has always been very polarizing in Nepal - and the Royal coup has only increased the polarization. Therefore it comes as no suprise that emotions are high on both sides. On internet bulletin boards, the loudest voices always seems to win - such is the nature of open boards like Sajha. The more harsh words you can use, the more CAPS, the more superlatives the greater the dominance you exert on such boards. No wonder every thread on Sajha is becoming more and more like a shouting match :)

Bright Eyes(smart A$$),
My father is a farmer. He was much safer during Panchayat era than he was in Democracy era.I paid my tuition with his farm income. Then, I never had to worry about getting killed. Now, I need to.
This is the reason why I praise Panchayat.
We can still bring it back.

May be .5% of what were killed in last 15 years. This is just a guess, but you got my point.Actual figures don't matter. We all know that general public was safer then.

Tired,
Are you saying that Panchayat killed as many people as Democracy did?
Perhaps, you were too little to remember. But, ask your dad to compare between 30 years of Panchayat and 15 years of whatever it was on the folloing topics:

Number of people killed in a day
Number of govt offices burnt in a day
Number of bombs exploded in in the city a day
Number of people afraid to come out of their house due to the fear of getting killed
Number of homes abandoned
Number of young boys leaving home just to save their life
Number of homes broken
Number of villages emptied
Number of people left their forefather's land because they were unsafe

Tired, if you are thinking clearly, which I assume you are capable of, facts are right in front of your eyes.

just because we don't know how many people died during panchayat does not mean less people died during panchayat.

i just want to know the truth. and i am capable of counting. so i can do the counting.

yes, i was small but i have asked my parents and other people. and yes, it may have seemed that nothing happened in panchayat, nothing could be further from the truth. many people died speaking against the system. many people disappeared venting their frustration at the system.

just immersing my head in the sand like an ostrich is not the way to go. yes, i want to do the math. give me the numbers. or tell me where i can find those numbers.

maile, yinai aankhaale, 2036 saalmaa askolko paanchau talla baataa policele latti hirkaaera biddyarthi khasaayeko photo dekheko chhu. video dekheko chhu. kati manchhe mare panchayet maa, kripaa garera bhannuhos.

I didn't say nobody was killed by the state.I am saying the number was FAR less compared to the one in last 15 years.
Even though you couldn't see all the killings, you should have heard the bomb blasts (assuming that you are not deaf). There was one bomb blast appearantly caused by a person named Ram Raja Prasad Singh. And it made headlines for 3 years.Nobody was even killed.

Yaha polluted politicians ka chhora chhori pani kam chhainana.
They are trying to do ugly politics from abroad and trying to influence people from Sajha.com
We are not illiterate,
don't try to influence us. I appreciate King's move.

It's not the question of how many people killed. you do not need to be a panche to support the king now. We need the peace first, let's do sth about maoist then we will think about democracy later. American democracy doest not fit in nepal. when leaders are uneducated and they don't think except how to make money, it not gonna work.. never. So let's support the king for now because his intrest match ours(Nepalis). If we Nepali have peace, job and educaton, i don't care if the country is run by King or Girija. I want to see my country moving forward not the democracy which is in reverse direction.

democracy was not taking the nation in the reverse direction. not at all.

if we don't have eduction, then we need democracy. to say that we are not educated enough for democracy is a part of the "vast right wing propaganda and conspiracy".

rahyo kuro peace ko. tyo pani hundaina, democracy bina. janataa nauthesamma aarmy pani maobaadi sidhaaudaina, maobaadi pani aarmy siddhaaudaina. euta athawa arko siddho bhane ta uniharuko aauchitya nai harayo ni.

janataa uthnu parchha. janataa na uthe samma peace hundaina. mero bhannu yahi ho.
