I heard our national flag represents Rana and Shaha clan. Is that true? The upper triangle represents Shah clan and lower part represent Rana clan. Since it does not represrnt nepali people what is the meaning of praising flag and having "Rato ra chandra surya" as national anthem. घुमाअयो फिरायो रिङ्गरोड भनेको एही त होईन ?

I go for " Gauncha geeta Nepali .... It is pretty suitable". If it is to long, we can request to Madhav P Ghimire to make it short.

I am sure everybody is thinking about this one. There is a discussion going on for a public initiative to let every Nepali, instead of a chosen few, participate in drafting a new National anthem. There is a proposal to have a nation wide competition to write a song suitable for National anthem. A group of people have already started to consult with various people to initiate this project. Expect a public announcement regarding this in a near future.

I hope to see a song that is truly the national anthem, one that inspires every Nepali, one that celebrates and takes pride in the diversity of Nepali people, one that celebrates their dreams and fight for freedom and liberty, one that sees Nepal as every Nepali's shared dream rather than something kept intact only by some symbol of unity.

Modern Nepal should have a modern national anthem. To tell you the truth i have never heard nepali national anthem in my life so far. I try watching nepali athletics at Olympic games but guess what they never win the GOLD medal. here's what i suggest.
