I have been facinated by the impact of sexually related activities especially in the context of the USA. The apparent heirarchy of violence below sex. Many say that the public domain is of particular issue with children. And extreme example being a display of having sex on a billboard in timesquare. The point being that I think the problem in the U.S. is over-protecting the young people. Hell, they consider people as children until they are 18 and it's not until they're 21 that they are really adults. But take a look back at your family tree sometime - chances are great-grandma was married at 15 hmmmm. What are your opinions on how society should deal with all things sex? I'm concerned with actual intercourse as well as the nude human body. How far should we go in 'being comfortabl' with sex and our bodies? How far should we let society be comfortable with it? And most importantly, what is your take on this situation in your respective place of dwelling (whether that be town, city, state, country or region) ?

its a process and it takes time before they're ready for it......if a 3 yr old kid asks you what is sex? or how are kids born? or from where? then the answer would definitely not be first male and female will have the intercouse by putting the penis inside the vagina and blah blah

Too often here in the bad place one gets stuck in trying to prove "i'm right" while losing sight of the ultimate goal of debate which is to not change other's opinions but your own. At the risk of sounding like an unsubstantiated debater, i did a report on this very subject for an entry level behavioral studies class and i found many statistics and examples of children being strongly influenced by what they watched. One example was a group of children watching violent television (News reports and films) and becoming the "bully" of the group at school. This phenomenon occured to the extent that the researchers found a correlation between social acceptance among children and the acceptance of violent behavior (such as a kid trying to become 'cool' by acting violently) However the caveat of the research was that parental influence strongly out-weighed that of what children watched on t.v.

A few points I'd like to make: 1. In light of Valentine's day, let me begin by discussing this holiday. Valentine's day is a celebration of promiscuity. Nepal will proudly keep depravity out of her doorsteps. It is said that in the United States, every individual has had at leasy one sexual encounter with another individual of the same sex. This is Western Culture, folks. While Nepal does have its knee deep in tantrism and other sexually explicit philophies and forms of art, people are still conservative when it comes to sexual issues. Valentine's Day will lead to Nepal's decadence. This should not be tolerated. I am glad that my right-wing hardliner brethren in India are opposing this Western so-called "holiday" of turpitude and hedonism. Such draconian steps should also be taken in Nepal, or else we're all heading down the road leading straight to hedonism. 2. While modernization is a force to be reckoned with, European hedonistic practices slowly crawling into our culture, thereby destroying our centuries-old heritage, CAN AND MUST be stopped. In the United States, teen pregnancy is very common. Threesomes and menage a trois are so common and for those looking for cheap thrills, head to a swingers' bar. I lived there for two years, until I got tired of America's PORNOGRAPHIC culture. Pornography can in fact be viewed in public places if you know your way. Gang-violence is more rampant than in Nepal, which I found very surprising given that Nepal is not as developed as America per se. 3. America is a depraved nation. As I said before, I lived in America for a couple of years before I got tired of the lack of morality over there. While Bill Clinton was impeached for cheating on his wife, what one forgets is that a Republican senator had to quit because he himself cheated on his wife, yet he was calling for Billie boy to resign. Of course Bill Boy is a moron. Evangelical Christians are so hypocritical that I cringe when I have to THINK why moral issues became such a hot-button issue in the 2004 election. The crux of the matter is that more than 60% evangelicals have had a divorce in America. One gentleman whose surname is Gannon recently got into trouble, because while he was spouting conservative values in a conservative webpage, he was discreetly posting his salacious pictures in homosexual web sites. In other words, he was a giggolo, selling his "service" to please other men, and perhaps himself. The gentleman describes himself as muscular, tall, with 8" cut "bazooka", if you know what I mean. We Nepalis are very much for family values. We respect the elderly and make sure that their every demands are met. We don't induldge in pedophilia. I am sorry to say that, while I respect America's capitalism, I, FOR ONE, cannot support America's hedonism and depravity. 4. Pornography is a work of art in America. They have magazines like Playboy and Hustler that celebrate sexual images of women. One of my American roommates was an avid reader of these magazines, and in fact kept it in the bathroom, so he could read it while he was there. I was so disgusted by this rude gesture of his. How could he assume for one second that I would enjoy such lewd magazines that denigrate women? So ultimately I went to one of my roommate's bathroom the whole semester. He made my life a LIVING HELL. I make this point because pornography in America is like buying candies in a store. They're DIME A DOZEN. They don't understand that these are degrading to women, that they corrupt children, that the enjoyment of pornography is a mental disease. 5. Parties in American schools. Once, one of my American "roommates" forced me to go to a party with him. Now, I never went to a party before, and since I was curious about it, I decided to check it out. Some of the things I saw there has scarred me for life. There were women, many of whom, were wearing very skimpy clothes, braless with transparent tops, and in many cases, pantyless, since I managed to get more than a few peeks because my eyes were wandering. The music was so loud that I felt like I was gonna go deaf. Then there were American men, all drunk, shouting on top of their lungs. I was flabbergasted. Never, ever, had I ever been subjected to such vile behavior. Some of the men were groping women in their bosom area(or "funbags" as they like to call them pairs in America), and the women didn't seem to mind it. All these things were hard to swallow, and made me a bit queasy. So I got the hell out of there. 6. And finally, LOVE is an asinine WESTERN concept. Let me give you the statistics. Almost 55% of American marriages--and American marriages are all based on love--end up in a divorce. My parents who had their marriage arranged, still get along great, and have never had quarrels. Most people don't fall in love. Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet has placed in Western psyche the idea that love really exists. I don't buy this baloney. Here's why. There's no guarantee that a person who claims he has fallen in "love" will always be in love with that person. So in essence, the notion of love is just infatuation that last longer. Therefore, when a Western couple stop falling in "love" they end up with a divorce, which ultimately hurts the children. So instead of love, I think the focus should be on the family. That's why Nepali families are so strong, and I personally don't know any Nepali marriages that ended up with a divorce. Learning to love your wife, even if you didn't love her from the start, is the basis of all Nepali marriages.

Nepali con - I have never heard so much baloney spew out of a narrow minded, repressed, pea-brained soul before! And it took you two long years to get tired of Pornography? You couldn't just sit in the bathroom and shoot your load without feeling the need to leaf through someones else's filth? Get your facts right and your self righteous head out of your ass for two seconds --- you will realize that there is depravity in every society. Some people care to air their dirty laundry and show their remorse for heinous acts of others --- we in nepal sweep it under the carpet, pretend all is well, and hope no one doubts. Just because you don't hear about pedophilia, pornography etc in the popular news media does not mean it doesn't exist. the next thing I will hear you say is , "I swear we have no gays in Nepal" Cut the crap!

Before you get your thong in a wad, at least you should have made the effort of refuting some of the assertions I made in my previous post. It's better to not wash one's dirty laundry in public, at least not when it comes to sexual issues. The last time I checked, Billie Boy was impeached for having extramarital affairs. And I don't support "outing" somebody either. One's sexual orientations should remain behind closed doors. Many reputations have been sullied just because of being outed, one being Senator McGreevy of NJ, who outed himself before anybody else could have outed him, which would have been even more damaging to the dems. So basically, I support the "don't ask don't tell" policiy they practice in the military. So what I'm saying joonkeri is that if you like getting reamed, it's none of my business but yours, but don't promulgate it like people are not affronted by that. By the way, the so-called "gay" gene bollocks has only recently been refuted in one of those popular science journals. You don't need a rocket scientist to figure out that proportionally there are more homosexuals of European origin than homosexuals of any other origin. In Black American culture, they keep things "on the down low". There are cases where people who have claimed they're gay managed to become heterosexuals. I never said that cases of rape and social injustices shouldn't be fought. They should be, and if possible should be publicized. But pornography is not about social injustice. Swingers' bars don't fight for equality. These are merely places to get your jollies off.

LOL joonkeri, thank you for your response, otherwise it wud had been me telling Nepali Con to "CUT THE CRAP!!" Sex is a natural phenomenon. Being open abt sex is always a good thing, because sex is one of the most vital necessity to live a life. (From Freud to Maslow, everyone has agreed on it) ... now, controlling sex is always a necessity. Sex, with being pleasurable, it is also emotional and ofcourse addictive. So to control the human mind, and to prevent human depression, sex sud be in moderation and controlled, therefore there are laws that are created to control young minds. How far sud we be comfortable abt sex? It is up to you to decide if you want to be a porn star or a shy person. Nothing wrong with both people, they both stand with their own moral values, and sex being a natural phenomenon, has its own moral stance which differes from person to person. But, as we live in a world where majority rules, majority of ppl favor sex to be private. Hence, we sud respect that and that is why no porn movie sud be aired on public television. Sex is not like a drug, but sex can be more like alcohol, it can be very addictive and dangerous. But, if not performed (taken) , sex can also be lethal weapon that generates depression.

"sex can also be lethal weapon that generates depression" I have never heard of anybody getting depressed because of sex. You make some interesting statements. In the United States and other "developed" nations, they have invented what they call "oral sex". The idea basically is to stimulate genitalia by using one's mouth. That sounds gross and disgusting to me. From what my friends describe, going down on women can result in diseases of the mouth. So why would anybody hit third base if the danger of contracting disease is quite high? This astounds me. The so-called "cottage cheese" smell of women's genitalia, as described by some of my "friends", basically sounds to me like a bacterial infestation. So be careful folks. Sex is tempting but once youre hit with STD's, you'll regret it all your life. And I'll be having the last laugh, as I'll be happily making sweet love to my wonderful wife, who will be hitched with me through arranged marriage! So as long as it's with your wife, you can enjoy it all you want. But no cheating on your spouses, and no premarital and extramarital sexual encounters!

In my opinion, society should not deal on matter of sex in any shape or form for adults. "Society has no business in the bedrooms of individuals, as it is the very private matter of any individual." Why should the society should even bother?
