Hello, I applied for TPS registration in November 2023, and as of March 17th, my case is still pending. For those who applied for TPS in November, have you received your EAD yet?

PERM ta USCIS haina ni. Tyo ta DOL le ho. USCIS lai budget didainan. Sab application fee bata matrai chalcha. Ani ahile naya border cross garera asylum gareka harulai first time EAD lai application fee pani lagdaina. Tehi bhara sab dhila bhako ho. Ek barsa ko hara hari ma approve huncha hola.

I'll be out of my visa status in 3 months, not sure if TPS pending application will protect me. Tes mathi my employer is very sus about my old EAD from 2019

@rosa1234 all i have is TPS as well which is pending, EAD pending as well....as long as you have applied your EAD you should be good for 540 days....and I am also using old EAD from 2019

Mero ni service request ko aja reply aayo. they said the following which is a generic response: U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) records show your case is in line to be reviewed by an officer. We ask that you allow additional time since we process these cases in the order they are received.

Applied OCT 29, 2023 - 1st day when they opened re-registration
TPS case - Pending
EAD case - Pending

Service request reply - Same email twice.

Any News on EAD Auto extension?

@tps Nepal , I also applied the first day of re registration OCT 2023 , my EAD and TPS were approved and received end of December 2023.

Hopefully yours will comes soon too. USCIS takes not sure why this long, if there is no staff why don’t they hire more people.

@TPSNepal EAD is auto extended for 540 days if you have concurrent filing TPS & EAD and the case is still pending

Question: if my advance parole is approved while my TPS is still pending, can i travel? All my application is still pending so that is just a hypothetical question.

@username619, language in TFR clearly says 180/540 days extension from the date printed in the face of the card.

Instead of issuing updated Form I-797C notices, USCIS will update the webpage that is referenced in the Form I-797C notice to reflect the change in the automatic extension period.

Employees and employers should refer to this webpage when determining whether a Form I-797C, Notice of Action, if presented with the facially expired EAD, is acceptable for Form I-9. Employers may attach a copy of the webpage with the employee’s Form I-9 to document the extension of employment authorization and/or EAD validity.

An individual’s automatic extension period may terminate prior to the maximum period either automatically when USCIS issues a decision on the applicant’s Form I-765 renewal application, or upon notice.

@HolaNepal0977, I wish HR accept and verifies I9 with this logics. Unfortunately, language in laws are really confusing.

You don’t need EAD for I9 recertification . Just providing receipt should be enough. If they deny call DOJ.
