1. If someone sends email, how can i check his/her IP?
2. Can we also find location (Exactly in whihc country/Place) from where the mail has been sent? how?

I keep computer open for 24 hours, is it good to shut down or makes no difference? Ive never put off it for last 3 months, when im out of home also it is running (though i close al the programmes).

Just wanna know if its good idea to close it?

Amazing I think leaving the computer on will not hurt it. Many people claim it will cause an accumulation of dust and dirt to appear on your Motherboard and fans causing premature breakdown. But after seeing my share of computers I know you're going to have dust and dirt accumulation whether it is left on OR off. I am sure you are not using Windows 9x, which needs to be restarted from time to time for optimum performance.

As far as cleaning goes you will need to clean your machine every six months or so to keep the dust and dirt from getting too thick on your chips. And if you smoke, clean your machine a little sooner as the nicotine from tobacco smoke will stick to your chips and attract more dust. If left too long it will actually cement the dirt and dust to the chip severely shortening the life of the chip as it cannot diisapate the heat as fast as it would if it were clean. So yes leave it on but make sure you clean it regularly

Abt uploading pic its very simple

Click Browse (Just near INCLUDE FILE)
then searc the pic in your computer. (Like u attach files while sending in mails)
Once u see some texts in that empty space (between INCLUDE FILE and BROWSE)
then just click submit

(If pic is in big size or not in JPG or GIF file it wont accetp)

I have Mozilla Firefox and when I browse through that I cant read Nepali TEXT properly (Like ekantipur.com, nepaljapan.com and many others but I can read mysansar)

I ve to always use two systems (Internet Explorer and Firefox) is there any idea I can read Nepali text by not using Internet Explorer but by Firefox?

On firefox, when you read unicode scripts,
make sure UTF-8 is selected.

to do this, go to view menu on top, point to character encoding and select UTF-8

Kantipur actually sucks. If you look at their source code, you will see they aren't using the unicode font for their unicode content. Instead they are using the default Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif crap. There is no problem with IE as it always uses the default unicode font from the Windows, but you need to tune Firefox by yourself.

First check if you have any Devanagiri Unicode fonts installed or not. If you have Mangal or Kalimati then you are done. Otherwise go to http://mpp.org.np/downloads.php and download the font.

Open your Firefox . Go to Tools > Options > Content . There you will notice Fonts and Colors. Click on the Advanced tab. This is how it looks in my firefox and I don't have any problems with Kantipur anymore.

Netscape ibrowser is better for Nepali fonts display. However, it makes your computer slow.

Regarding Ratamakai's query - It is absolutely no harm letting your computer running all the time. Better you keep the computer in "standby" mode. Frequent turning off and on is not good, better stand-by mode takes your computer at lower power consumption state, (thereby reducing heating effect).

However, you need to restart sometimes (once in a week or so) .. so that your system gets online-updates from net. Also, this helps resolving some conflicts in systems..

Hi guys Im trying to log on Hotmail but seems its not connecting.

- I can be online MSN (But cant check emails) when, it shows how many emails I got but when I click there the page comes blank
- I can also browse HOTMAIL site, type my id and passowrd
- After that it comes blank page (showing DONE in bottom left)
- I tried using both INTERNET EXPLORER and FIREFOX
- I have tried only from my computer, I also tried using other's hotmail id and passord but it opens.
- Other emails like YAHOO, GMAIL, AOL have no problem.

Im really fked up guys, please help me. MSN Today (in Messanger) shows how many mails I ve got and from where, Ive got loads of urgent emails as HOTMAIL is my first choice of email.
