The people have got to get it into their heads that a decade or so of corruption under the political parties is PEANUTS compared to the daylight robbery of the kind that is occasionally reported in Himal and Mulyankan. Ex-PM Deuba (a royalist in sheep's clothing) set the tone by writing a blank check to the palace and the army when he was PM. This trend seems to percolated down to the hand-picked government as well...this surely trickle down to the grassroots panchays as well.

Quite frankly, this trend makes even the poster boy of corruption, Govinda Joshi, look like a saint in comparison.
