I might not be the right person to talk politics, looking at the fact that I know very little about the politics of our country, but it doesn't take a very smart person to tell that Maoist are not right for the future of Nepal. Maoist, being a very seroius contender among the top three parties, could be making the framework of the new republic state of Nepal. Like China, our very own coutry's Maoist government, would be supressing any movement towards democracy. Some of us might point out at the royal dynasty and say people of Nepal will always fight tyrant, but are we forgetting the word called GENOCIDE. King Gyanedra was a lot easier to handle, and worse could have happened if he really chose to fight against the people. If maoist come to power, they are not going down easily.

We have lots of example to prove my claim. A recent statement from one of the Maoist supremo Dr. Baburam Bhattarai read, "people would seize power within ten minutes of the announcement of poll results if Maoists were defeated through rigging in Constituent Assembly (CA) election." Let us break his statement one by one. Who are the people he is talking about? Do he think that people having a different opinion to Maoist are not included in his scenario of New Nepal? How can Maoist use the term riggin to defend themselves? Aren't the cadres of YCL the memeber of Mao who are threating, and even assulting oappostion candidates and locals? How come we never hear NC, (UML) doing that: and still Maoist are the ones complaining. If it is election, aren\t all the parties supposed to follow the outcome of it?

I don't even see any change from election. The moment one party is going to win the election, all others would be surrounding the streets of valley, chanting the slogans of how they were rigged in the election. Maoist have already made their statement that: let them win the election or they will not accept the outcome of the polls. And by saying that people are going to seize power, Maoist are already talking about running the country by coercion.

Throughout the history, we have been fighting tyranny-one after another. We might be lined up for another. There are no alternative to the election either. I can only hope NC or CPN UML winning the election. I do not want to be living a life scared from the fear of the ruling government. I should have the democracy to express my opinion, and make decision of my own- choose my own party, and so should be all of ours. I respect everybody's opinion including the supporter of Maoist party, and everyone is welcome to defend their opinion without disrespecting other's.

It will be 'disaster' if Maoist wins the election. They will create disaster if they don't win the election.

1st of all i don't believe it will be a disaster, to fight a PEOPLE's WAR and still able to give tough fight being out numbered and unequipped than government forces is not a child play, if you look at the Military strategy then you'll see they are 80% successful on their goals. Fighting war for more than 10 years required lots of dedication and commitment. Its all about decipline.
They were the voice behind Constitutional Election, while all the other party were against it! This is the first time in the history we Nepali people are going to write our own constitution. Earlier the constitution was mere Bakshish from Rana's.
The proportional representation was their idea too, which gives chance for all the society and member of the country to draft the new constitution.
If you look at their manifesto, Maoist Manifesto is most SCIENTIFIC....
1. They talk about how to sectorize the country so that all region can develop.
2. They have development plan. Including private sector too, they are not against involving private sector into the government.
3.We shouldn't forget that those PLA in the cantonments are also Son and Daughter of Nepal.
4. Let me remind you, they gave the Woman the GUNs....while Nepal Police and Army were raping them, this added more combatant in PLA.

One more thing, let me remind you its a Class struggle in Nepal. There are many Maoist sympathizers, all who have seen corruption of Congress and UML might FALL for them.

Kumar Fudung who was Nepal Amry ko general is running election FROM MAOIST. I have seen many intelectual people backing Maoist, as they see VISION in thier policy.


Personally I feel we all are Nepali, we should work together to build a better Nepal!!

I assume these terrorists (Maoists) have not raped your family members, since you are Maoist but where are you from? I am from a very remote Nepal...and I agree that the army men do such activities but dude, you don know about remote Nepal....Maoists have performed more terrorizing activities than army men....They too have raped many women......They have drilled a drillling machine in a pregnant woman's stomach, They have amputated a teacher and tied in a tree, They have raped a wife in front of a husband, They have killed many husband's in front of their wife.....Try to think dude, what would happen if any of your family member is killed or raped in front of you and then only you argue about these terrorists....

I agree there are some intellectuals in Maoists too but very very few....I strongly support those educated professionals to win the election but please I urge everyone not to vote these terrorists....See what Baburam Bhattarai (topmost educated) is saying.....damn...seizing power in 10 mins....foolish educated....

Bolney beo............very sad to see that you have not been able to still use your eyes and brain to see and think about the attrocities commited abt the Maoists and their YCL in Nepal. You must be a Maoists sympathizer who don't want to hear and see the facts and just blindfoldedly follow the radial and extremist Maoists.

First of, how can you even justify the killings of more than 13,000 people to bring a change in the country/??? I know that the terrorists Maoists are not the only ones who killed people, but they are the sole responsible people for it. The "dada giri" that they YCL have been doing and "goonda giri" the terrorists Maoists have been commiting in the country has no excuse. But guess what, just like it has happened in Afganistan, after a while in the future, Nepalese people will not let live any terrorists Maoists/YCL just like the Afgans did to the radial Taliban gettinged fed off of their attrocities and crimes.

So, pray that the Maoists not coe into power and peace prevail in Nepal.

Sorry folks, I have a different opinion regarding the whole topic. I think this Election is going to be a Big Disaster for Moaist. In my analysis they will not even appear 3rd in overall tally of seats in the election.
