I am working on my OPT for a company and they are willing to sponsor for me. But the problem is my OPT expires on May 31st.

My question is  do i need to send my lawyer new i-20 from June 1st to October 1st to bridge the gap while applying for H1-B visa?

And also what do you think is the best way to continue job after May 31st. One of my friend suggested that i need to find a school who will give CPT starting june 1st.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

I dont know how you can get new I-20 after expiration of OPT....joinging other college course??

Otherwise you may have to go back nepal and come again in October with H1 Visa. You need to maintain status betweeen the gap.

it's hurry to join kaplan starting from may/june 1st otherwise u wont be either house or ghatko........don even think of joining college because their i20 auda audai yr may 31st will come and u have to go nepal with no option.....so the bottom line is u sud have yr classs started before may 31st or within july 31st ( 2 month grace period)......this is as far as i know...but make confirm

I am already in a process of making new I-20 and i might get CPT starting june 1st. I will get that decision within this week.

But my only concern is do i need to send that new i-20 to my lawyer while applying for H1-B visa or do i just keep it for mysefl.?

hey . from which University you got the CPT ???

As far as I know you need to send new I-20 to lawyer.. it is required to show that u can stay and work in US till October when u get your H1B..

Yeah if university give you that u will join school from summer or do some caplon classes and geive the i-20 at the time of applying than u can get approved I-94 approval. But still u cannot work until october.. after may either u have to work on cash.

Or else dont do any courses after yr opt expiry u can stay in country for 2 more month as a grace perios and than i.e. if yr opt expires on july end than u can stay till sept end and for last 5/10 u can go to canada and get stamped....
