Hello, I just started this thread to know how many people graduated SLC from Nepali Government School ( Not private). I heard that lots of nepalese students came to US from high ranking family and most of them are from kathamandu who rarerly go to sarkari school. Please, write you school name and location if you passed you SLC from Nepali Government school..this is just for survey purpose only nothing personal.

Lets define which is government school...where the regular school tution fee is no more than Rs50 per month in 10 class. This does not mean if any one is studying in boarding school or, budhanilkantha in scholrship ..REGULAR school fee no more than Rs50. I think this will help to define government school.

हाम्रा अर्थशास्त्री मित्रहरु फेरी मार्केट इन्फ्लेसनको कुरो गर्न थाल्दा हुन । हाम्रो पढाइको खर्च पारीवारीक आम्दानीको २% भन्दा कम थियो, तर अचेल, हाय्य्य्य्य्य्य, के हिसाव गर्नु? टाउकै दुख्छ ।

म पनि मध्य-पश्चिमको सरकारी स्कुल बाट।

चना दाईको जस्तै हाम्रो नि रु.३५ प्रति महिना थियो, नौ कक्षामा हुँदा :)

I think there are about 30% graduate from government school among the registered sajha users and US nepalese too.
Many of the seniors are from gov. schools.
Most are hesitating to write.
Many graduate students (not undergraduate) are from gov schools. especially,physics majors
there are many DV winners too - randomly selected and i think gov scholars
And what about artists and so called artists.
Can you talk about spouse of sajha users? they may be also
It will be helpfull to you copycat.

Ani tespachi aru school ma,
class 11/12-No fee
bachelor=Rs 2400 for a year-2000 stipend=400
master=0


so ahile samma tireko fee=38*12+39*12+400*4=2524
Rs. 2524 ma Masters degree....wow...........................

All the politician in Nepal went to government school so they are in higher position.
I know more than 100 Nepalease who are doing Ph.D. in physics, chemistry and mathematices here in USA who went to government school.
Government school produces Politician and scientist.
Do you have any idea how to generalize?

Did SLC from a remote school from Taplejung,Pathivara Madhyamik...

class 1 to 5= free
5 to 7= 20 rs/ month
8 to 10 = 27 rs/month

I. Sc. = 40 rs/month ( got 2000 stipend each year)

B. Sc. = 80 rs/ month

M S = GA and scholarship...... WOW.....that's some history now..

I didn't not study grade 1, but the monthly fee used to be like:

Grade 2=Rs 2/m
Grade 3=Rs 3/m
................
................
Grade 9=Rs 9/m
Grade 10=Rs 10/m

Fun to remember those days now...
