IF YOU GET DV WHILE IN F1 STATUS,YOU BE DOOMED. YOU BE DEPORTED TO YOUR COUNTRY.
CAUZ WHEN YOU FIRST APPLIED FOR F1 VISA YOUR MAIN OBJECTIVE WAS TO CONVINCE THE CONSULAR THAT YOU RETURN BACK TO YOUR HOME UPON COMPLETION OF YOUR STUDIES BUT NOW WINNING DV MEANS YOU ARE RUNNIN AWAY FROM YOUR COUNTRY.
YOU ARE DOOM PAL.

Sajha administration,
do the following steps;
1. tell me your case number
2. go look at the visa bulletin of USCIS and see when is your prioritty date or the date you can start applying to the USCIS.
3. IF you want to AOS, fill out the DSP 122 form immediately and send it to the Department of state
4. Pay the 375 dollar to the Department of State which is the visa fee. the fee could be money order and fill out your return adress and buy one prepaid envelope and enclose everything in the envelope.
5. send that package to the DOS
6. They will send you the receipt within 15 days.
7. Once the DOS receive your DSP 122, they will send you the acknowledgment letter stating that you are permitted to adjust status with the USCIS
8.GO to the USCIS home page. fill out the form I-485 and G-325
9. Get the reuqired fee for both I-485 and G325.the fee again should be money order
10. ONce your get the receipt from the DOS that you had sent along with your pre paid envelope, save that receipt.
11. make sure to make a copy of everything before you drop it to the chicago box.
12. If you live in TExas, and oklahoma, go to the http://infopass.usics.gov
13, make appointment with Dallas office of rapid adjustment program
14. bring all the documents above including your congratulation letter and everything i entioned above to the officer.
15. Get interviewed from him.
16. If you want to file work permit and Advance parole concurrently , you can do that.there is extra fee for work permit and AP

17.If you live in state other than ok and Tx follow the address that has been shown in the I 485.
18. Warning: Do not attempt to include the name of the person( spouse) in the I-485 if you have not included her/his name in the original DV application. that might jeopardized your opportunity to adjust status.
19. Very important point:::::: follow the date shown in visa bulletin. If your case number is not current yet and you apply, you will be rejected. Still you can apply again whenever your date becomes current.
20. Let me know whenver you get your green card, you will cheer .
21. Good luck buddy whoever you are.

sajha administration:

I saw the visa bulletin of USCIS. they are working for the people who has won DV lottery 2007. Your Priority date will be current after October of 2007 only. YOu must must must wait till october 2007 to get your application forward. I am not soliciting any information. you don't need to do anything. I am student like you and have gone through all this hell. it is torturous to be selected DV winner than to be not.... really it is. I am not the DV winner but worked for close one. YOu don't need to spend money for lawyer, if you did the process above. Lawyer dont' do anything, help you to make those documents ready.

Real maobadi is right. He helped me out too.
THE DOS will send you the letter within 20 days. You don't have to wait to pay for the fees. pay the fee 375 dv fee ASAP and keep that receipt with you.
you can not file the I-485 and 325 until your visa number is available, if you file, yours will be rejected. send me the mail, if you need, i will reply you and tell you what to do.
no worries, still have time for you.

Hi SajhaAdmin....

I am ready to buy your DB lottery and all. Dont worry about the names, and the picture too. I have a friend who is a great makeup artist. I have 12 blank Nepalese Passports and whatnot.

Even you have a GC, the liable money you gonna save a year is less than $10000. Besides you get to work whole year. I can offer you $34000, cash in front. You can stay here as you were, finish your study and H1, and GC.

Its a win win situation.

DAKY

Sajhaadministration do not listen to real maobadi. if you do that then you be deported to nepal and his friend maobadi be waiting for you in nepal.
anyway don't get pissed off and block me from logging into your website.
listen to me.
just study hard, work hard, graduate, OPT, Master, and Phd.
then applied for H1 Visa. Then applied for green card.

This is the REAL GREEN CARD!

I won DV in 2004 while I was in Student VISA, My Case # was 9***. I went to USCIS Virginia and they didnot accept my AOS forms as my case no was not current. I calculated my timing and fpound that my case will be Current by august and AOS was not possible in Two month as you have to go through background check and they dont put me in priority. I wasworried as my friend did not get green card as he decided to do AOS but his # got current in September amd he was denied visa as time was not sufficient. So I changed my intention and wanted to go to nepal. I called up Kentucky center and changed my intention and asked them to send my second letter in MY US address. After I got my letter I went to Kathmandu and got my visa changed. that was eagiest one. So I would suggest if you have time go Nepal and get it done, I am not saying you will not get VISA here but definitely lot of tension. wish you good luck

SajhaAdministration,
don't worry your number is not that far behind it should be current by next march/april (that's when you will be able to apply for I-485). I went thru this in 2004. I received my GC in 2 and half months after I sent in the form I-485. Don't worry about the lawyers. The steps that Maobadi wrote is more or less the same. There are of course two things, you need to do a medical checkup before applying for I-485 and after that they will call you for Biometric. that;s where they fingerprint you and stuffs. I had to find a sponsor as well at that time but I guess that requirement has been changed since but I am not sure... Anyway good luck and also since I have also gone thru the very same thing from F1 --> GC, I exactly know the excitement, fear and all that other shit people put on you. In the interview day, the only thing the agent asked me was do you work anywhere, I said yes on campus in campus computer network as network technician. Then he asked me those silly questions that were in the F1 visa application like "are u affiliated with communist parties, are u terrorist, felon" you just say "No" that's all.
Anyway, if you need any help or sugestion I will be happy to help you. Just send me an email thru Sajha.

:q

congratulation. I won Dv 2007 and adjusted the status. It tok me just two and half months. I don't refer you to hire lawer. I can help beter than lawer. DV is very straight forward and for we nepalies it is lot easier. don't look at the DV forums. just they take your valuable time. for some countries it is really difficult because of name check but for us its not a problem.I know few DV 2007 winers and we all made AOS without any trouble. I got my green card just two weeks back . it was current for march. what is your case number If it is around 4000 it is lovely. MIne was four thousand something. If you need any help just emai me or give me and we will exchange ideas in phones. there are other nepalies 2008 dv winners . one of them contacted me one week back. it is easier than you thought but have to very cautious as something might go unnoticed up until the date of interview. so previous dv winneres and who succesfully adjusted without problem would be great source for you.
thanks
