I did my undergrad from the US and I am still living in the US on F1 visa, actually I am doing my OPT. It will expire in June 18 2007. So I applied for a grad school and I have been accepted already and also enrolled for Summer 2007. However, this new school is asking me to show financial evidence like bank statement or sponsor, unless I do that they wont release my I-20. My question is, do I still need to do that whole thing? If you guys know any cheaper school please let me know. Cuz this school kind of expensive $650/credit.

which state you are in? Yes you need to show the proof of financial statement. It is mandated by the law.No statement no I 20 issuance.Take summer semester somehow,then transfer to other school soon. 650*9=5850+ other fees,around 6300/semester.That's kinda high for us when you dont have GA, will they offer you assistantship after you enroll? most universities have that policy,depends on your major and the goodwill you build with the faculty members once you are in.Take that as an option as well,good luck.

You need a bank statement though. Get a Nepali bank letterhead, type it up and use 1 mohar ko thappa. You have a bank statement in hand.
