Yes you can change the Lawyer anytime. Please make sure you have all the copies of your documents with you. If you have your labor certification done rest I 140,I485, I 765, I131 can be done by your self. I am with immigration law firm based in virginia pls call me for free consultation at 703 8488855 or 703 6262769 email at akatwalifegood@aol.com. If your labor cert. is done then your major hurdle for PR is passed, wish you a good luck.

yes you can change the lawyer at any time. i am neither involved in any law firm nor i am a an immigration expert, but thru my experience i know quiet a bit of knowledge and information. not to offend. AEX, but the fact that you wrote, if your labor cert is done your major hurdle for PR is passed is NOT TRUE. LC is simply to prove that your sponsoring company couldnt find any legar worker so they have to sponsor you, beside that, in I 140, they need to show enough cash flow, asset , to prove that they have financial affidative, wich is filed by the employer in your behalf, thats the most diff hurdle not LC. depending on the visa availability you could also file 140 n 485 concurently, that should reduce the time frame significantly rather than if u were to file separetly, drawback is that, if your 140 is declined your 485 is declined automatically. 765 is for work permit, and 131 is for advance parole = travel document. thx

Thanks mansion....It does not matter if you are immigration expert pr not..पढेर भन्दा परेर जानिन्छ । When you said financial matter and enough cash- what type of documents it could be? In many cases employers hesitate to provide inormation on financial matter. Also in other thread on interview isuuse you said that neither employer nor employee has to attend interview. Didnt you go for interview??

financial documents can vary from, corportate income tax, payroll tax, quaterly tax. no i didnt go for interview, usually when you apply for PR, thru employement based, you do not have to go for an interview, in most cases, its only when you get married and getting your PR, then they usually ask you to come for an interview.

sorry if I confuse you by saying that labor cert. is the most difficult part, what i meant to say was since the labor dept, guide lines are pretty strict. Also you get lots of application from US citizens also. You can not deny them just like that. If lawyer does his homework properly before taking the case then 1140 should not be the problem. I 485 1765 is not a problem if you are in legal status. I agree with mansion I140 is also crucial if the employer is little weak or employer business situation changes, but you still can explain and get approved for I140. If American applicant is willing to take the job and he qualifies then there is nothing can be done in that case. Let me rephrase this There is no control on laborcertificate, but I140 can be somewhat controlled. CPA can explain the loss or change in temp profit and loss situation. As I said earlier I140 and I485 approval can be predicted but not the labor certification. But hey look at this situation for an Idian resturant cook, labor certification is a piece of cake but I140 can be the big deal because of unpaid taxes and sudden selling of business or major loss and so on.

Euta Nepali, I'd advise against hiring two different lawyers because Immigration can't even handle simple address changes well and if you introduce two lawyers in the process your paperwork is guaranteed to get delayed.

its good to stick to 1 lawyer, if its a good lawyer, changing lawyers doesnt make that much of a diff..they have to submit the same papers and everything anyways....and quiet frankly there is not much a lawyer can do to speed up your process.
