Hey Guys, I am a student of Comp. Science, I got a perm. job in NY with a salary of 40k and they are willing to sponsor for H1B too, but I think the pay is little less. I am thinking, I will take it for now, get some US experience and look for another job later..... can I quit this job if I get a new one? By the way, I am graduating in May 2007.... Give me some suggestions ...

east coast,
It is little less but since they are willing to sponsor for your H1 and the quota for this year is finished. if I was you I will stick with them (the permanant job with less pay) and see next year if you can truely find someone who can do your H1 for fact. Otherwise there are lot of company who said they are willing to sponsor and at the end they will say "oh we are sorry Mr. phalana the quota for h1 is closed and we could not do anything for you at this point" ani tetti khera hissa buddi hariyo Daat hola Bro. or chauta khana gaki budhi ghol ma dubera mari hola..

hahaha.

Its just my opinion,

purchasing power of 40k varies significantly based on where you are in NY.

but if you are talking about NY,NY then 40k for SB is very low.. but its a starting point.

mero suggestion chhai learn as much as you can. if you have to work extra hours do it in the beginning (O:
