I think I need to post it on wall of cafeteria I used to work before. They used to throw so much of excess food. They had a policy of throwing away foods rather than giving them out to workers.

Yes, that is a picture that reminds us how fortunate we are and that we should never take things as granted and should always be thankful and helpful to others. But regarding the statement: "I will never waste my food no matter how full I may be". Do you want to ship the extra stool, that you will produce due to the extra food you are forcefully taking, to the hungry and dying people ??? or Do you want to store the extra food as fat in your body and later take that out, melt that, put in a bottle and ship to them so that they can use it as an alternative to some expensive cooking oil??? What you should do is cook less. But even then, the food that you wont consume will be rotten and go to trash. Therefore the best thing we can do is to produce more, buy less from food store and ship the extra food that we will have to poor people. Finishing your heavely loaded plate wont help in any way.

since this is a forwarded email i can never accept that guy has committed suicide or even he exists. usually people create this type of story so that their messages get forwarded. saying things like " if you dont forward you will die in a week " or so . but i dont deny the picture though. its so pretty. i have seen vulture waiting for zebra to die in national georaphic channel. i also know vultures are great animals. a natual scavengers without whom many people and animals would have died due to epidemic.

This is what i call hell? This is possible when we all learn to sacrifice rather than making compromise in the name of business, relation and age. The whole Human life is nothing but questions and experience that we get within. There is no looser, there is no winner. Everyone is winner and everyone is looser. I was watching Mr. Mittal interview last nite....one question asked to him was...what is the thing you cant buy with money and regret for having money? He said he cant buy happiness and he has to sacrifice his happiness for the money. When god takes something he gives something......when he gives he takes as well. Complicated rite...god bless this child and may she come back in better life. I wont be surprised if photographer has died. The whole picture must have made him think and what is the solution for it? He saw selfish ppl all around and see the meaning of life is useless...He should have got some spritiual guidance at that time.....anyways, may his soul rest in peace as well. Isn't digesting reality is like accepting your wife with some other men in bed? god grant us the serenity to accept the things we cannot change and courage to change the things we can and wisdom to know the difference.

The thing to wonder is tht the photographer committed suicide out of depression. Could he not help the child to go to the food camp that was just a kilometer away? Did he have to leave as soon as the pic was taken? I find it strange.

yeah its heart rending... rythm, exactly my point...but i guess he was looking at the bigger picture that lead him to severe depression, hence the suicide. he might/could have helped that poor little kid, but what about the millions of others? this is just ONE damn case...i read somewhere that "one infant dies after every 3 seconds due to hunger". the line creeped me off like hell. yes, together we can and probably we will. if the photographer had helped that little kid to come out of his unfortunate destiny then that would have been a start (at least for him)...but i believe that he succumbed to the bigger picture scenario... just a thought...i am not a psychologist. hehe LooTe
