What are the pros and cons for getting NRN card?
I need a work authorization to work for us companies remotely from Nepal?

Any info on how much property this nagarikta allows, or it is copy paste as of NRN ID card regarding buying, getting ancestral properties? Entering Nepal ? Staying Nepal? Drivers license etc etc when/where can we see info on these subjects ….. any ideas ?

Pretty sure NRN citizenship will allow to do business and keep unlimited ancestral and buy/sell properties. No issues there.

However, It just dawned on me that port of entry rule will still apply with USA passport and similar to what current NRN card provides, that is free 10 year visa and the NRN card needs to be renewed every 10 yrs or so. They wouldn’t have made NRN card mandatory if that was not the case. Maybe they will issue NRN DL too🤣

Would the previous NRN limit (2 ropani in ktm, 4 katha in terai etc) still be applicable or is it now the same हदबन्दी that is applicable to regular citizens?
Would NRN s still need to obtain an authorization from Ministry of Foreign Affairs to purchase property?

Bank accounts -Only NRN account linked to foreign account as before or can local currency account be opened as well now with this new "citizenship"

PAN card - do NRN citizens need one and if yes, how would they apply for. PAN card? How would taxation work if large amounts of local currency is received by NRN citizens from the sale of ancestral property? Can NRNs put that local money in a bank, and will bank report the amount to the NRNs country of citizenship ?

These are some serious questions and eventually need to be answered. However, i dont think they want to treat nrns right. They are already saying its a privillage and not right and trying to force the idea. 

NRNA leader Kul Acharya or newly elected chief need to addresss these legit questions. If these topics are still not answered clearly I am sure there will be not many interest in taking NRN nagarikta which Nepal govt doesn’t give shit so it’s pretty much take it or leave at your own risk.

It's so frustrating that we still have no updates from nrna website or Nepali embassy as if it didnt even take place. I've been searching on google using Nepali fonts and getting more hits with my searches;गैरआवासीय नेपाली नागरिकता. I search for news using the search words and that brings news updates everyday of people who applied and got their nagarikta from different cdo offices, for eg myagdi, taplejung etc etc. I contacted 2 people on fb but they didn't reply back lol..
From what i have gathered they ask for wada's recommendation, someone from fam has to vouch, ur Nepali nagarikta, foreign passport. Someone said they were also asked for their old Nepali passport . There was talks about nrn id required initially but reading the news lately i coudnt find if it is still the requirement or not.
We cant apply from embassy yet cuz they dknt have softwares ray. Plus embassy would onky fowwrd ur application to ur distict in Nepal withing 15 days but u would have to go there physically ray.
No knows what rights it gives with property. No knows knows yet if freaking visa is still required for the nrn citizens. On the back of the ctzp it says ur nationality is american lol. Why are they even bothering to give ctzp if they still consider us americans. I think this is a conspiracy to make us give up our Nepali ctzp officially.

ehho2 - i think law makers in nepal are being smart to tag foreign national just like how naturalized citizens get birth country tag in passports. so basically they are distinguishing nationality as per active passport not by birth country. its organized crime/plan that was started in name of democracy to empty Nepal to take over by foreign powers to destabilize the region in the long run, sounds fishy but it makes sense if we go back in history and start connecting dots its clear all the changes and bankruptcy that has occurred in Nepal.
No one in politics cares about nrn nagarikta, or nepali living abroad. Basically Nepal is becoming a fish market - chaotic, disorganized, everything has price and fishy politically. I had opportunity to talk about dual citizenship with Italian 3rd generation American, just because her grandmother was Italian she was able to apply for Italian citizenship if she can prove relation but here we go with Nepali politicians who has no control or idea what they are doing are allowing 4th class ID card only up to 3rd generations and that does not even has clear guidelines and regulations. Its shameful to hear how other countries are allowing dual citizenship vs how Nepali politicians are destroying its own citizens. One day these politicians will become a crab enjoying warm water without realizing same water will boil and take their own life. Baru sarpa ko bikh ko aausadhi huncha. 3. What will happen to the existing Bank account in Nepal that was opened using previously taken Nepalese citizenship card before or after you got Canadian Citizenship?

गैरआवासीय नेपाली नागरिकता प्रमाणपत्रको ढाँचामा आफ्नो/बाबु/आमा/बाजे/बज्जैको नेपाली नागरिकताको नागरिकता प्रमाणपत्रको नम्वर समेत राख्ने व्यवस्था गरिएको हुँदा नेपाली बैंकमा खोलिएको बैंक खाताले निरन्तरता प्राप्त गर्ने आधार सम्म देखिएको छ तर कानूनले प्रष्ट नबोलि सकेको हुँदा यो हक सम्म नेपाल राष्ट्र बैंकले कुनै कानूनी व्यवस्था गरी वा नगरी सार्वजनिक सूचना वा परिपत्रबाट प्रष्टता गरे पश्चात् मा यकिन हुनेछ।

Ø पैत्रिक सम्पत्ति हस्तान्तरण नभएको भए गैरआवासीय नेपाली नागरिकताबाट हस्तान्तरण र नामसारी नभएको पैत्रिक सम्पत्ति सम्बन्धित हकवालाको नाममा हस्तान्तरण वा नामसारी हुन सक्छ।

Ø पैत्रिक सम्पत्ति नेपाली नागरिकता कायम रहँदै कसैको नेपाली नागरिकताको प्रमाणपत्र नम्वर कायम गरी नामसारी भै सकेको तर सो सम्पत्ति जस्ताको त्यस्तै राखी विदेशी मुलुकको नागरिकता प्राप्त भएको खण्ड त्यस्तो सम्पत्ति हालको कानूनी व्यवस्थाले उक्त सम्पत्ति निजको नहुने देखिन्छ । तथापि यस सम्बन्धमा नेपाल सरकारले कुनै कानूनी व्यवस्था गर्न सक्छ होला भन्ने अनुमान मात्र गर्न सकिन्छ।

Ø विदेशी मुलुकको नागरिकता प्राप्त भए पश्चात् नेपालमा सम्पत्ति खरिद परराष्ट्र मन्त्रालयको स्वीकृत प्राप्त गरी गैरआवासीय परिचयपत्र प्राप्त गरेका व्यक्तिले मात्र गर्न सक्ने भएको हुँदा त्यसरी खरिद भएको सम्पत्तिको कानूनी स्वामित्वमा कुनै पनि फरक पर्दैन।

Ø विदेशी मुलुकको नागरिकता प्राप्त गरे पश्चात् पनि नेपाली नागरिकताको प्रमाणपत्र प्रयोग गरी कुनै पनि सम्पत्ति खरिद गरेको भएमा त्यस्तो अवस्थामा सम्पत्ति मात्र नभई स्वतः कायम नभएको नेपाली नागरिकता प्रमाणपत्र दुरुपयोगको अभियोग लाग्न सक्छ।



5. What will happen to the property or stock purchase or business investment you made using previously taken Nepalese citizenship card before or after you got Canadian Citizenship?

सम्पत्ति जग्गा मात्र नभई शेयर पनि भएको हुँदा प्रश्न नं. ४ अनुसारनै हुनेछ । तथापि गैरआवासीय नेपाली परिचयपत्र प्राप्त व्यक्तिलाई जग्गा खरिद गर्न परराष्ट्र मन्त्रालयको स्वीकृति लिनु पर्ने भएता पनि शेयर खरिद गर्दा त्यस्तो कुनै स्वीकृतिको व्यवस्था रहेको छैन।

I dont thik this is true. Even nrn card would allow to keep the already acquired property while being Nepali citizen.
