i thought Nepali was used for Nepal Nationality.
But this guy last name is being called nepali?

I say stop the hypocrisy.

We all know that a 'rapist' lurking around in your neighborhood will send a chill down your spine especially if you are a female; but, what we don't know is Mr. Nepal's actions that night. Did he really do it or not? We DON'T know! The ultimate due process of 'innocent until proven guilty' prevails at this point, so let the courts handle it.

Albeit the article mentions he's confessed to the crime I wonder how much scrutiny and/or whippings he had to go through during the interrogation process. If he doesn't have close ties (to any sort of substantial individual or group in the community) he's in for a ride. Poor folks just aren't treated the same when under a microscope- a disgruntled or a crooked cop could easily tamper with evidence, etc. I am not trying to say that law enforcements aren't always trying to protect the victims- they also have a quota to meet and they will do whatever they can to book the 'rapist' as soon as they can.

Accusations are cheap; hard physical evidence is what's needed to put Mr. Nepal behind bars. At this point he's only alleged and he's not a convict yet!

I certainly don't condone people's action that are unlawful, but that also has some connotations as every law isn't always fair (think immigration).
