This is a propaganda. You you read an article by Dr PBaburam Bhattarai at www.nepalipost.com under the column 'Chautari', (dated 18 march 05) it is clear that he has not been expelled from the party. The article speaks a lot in favour of the party supermo Prachanda which would would not have been the case had he been expelled. The one-sided king's papers are NOT to be trusted at all.

Kwasa... whether you like it or not... deal with this propoganda, even if it's true that it's a propaganda... without propaganda neither the Prachanda panthi nor the Govt. can win this. How the f*ck one can say that Babiram still supports Prachanda panthi just by going by his article in nepalipost's chautari? What the f*ck do you know... Baburam might have written that article perhaps not to support prachanda but to fight for his own ideology and case. But welcome to the Propaganda war.... whether you like it or not. And who the fu(cks are stopping prachandapanthis from fighting their own kind of propaganda... no one... They are free to fight with their arms and with their propaganda.. they might have 40,000 fighters.. but do they have 100,000 to encircle naranhiti? Gheroing Naranhiti could bring people's rights sooner than their fu*cking arms war....

- http://www.gorkhapatra.org.np/pageloader.php?file=2005/03/21/topstories/main1 Maoists confirm Baburam Bhattarai?s expulsion Anti-Prachanda rallies lambast endless war policy By Our Correspondent DANG, Mar. 20: The Maoists have confirmed that Dr. Baburam Bhattarai has been relieved from the responsibilities of the terrorist group following his clash with Prachanda. The FM radio operated by the rebels from a secret location in Pyuthan district, quoting a statement of one of their leaders identified as Biplav, announced at 7:30 pm Saturday that the terrorist group took action against Dr. Bhattarai and his wife Hisila Yami. Though their so-called spokesman Krishna Bahadur Mahara refuted news reports regarding this issue, Biplav?s statement has clearly justified and exposed internal rift in the group. Meanwhile, activists of the group have protested Prachanda, taking out rallies and shouting slogans for ceasefire and peace talks at various places in the district, including Shantinagar, Baghmare, Rajpur and Bela, according to local residents. They are also reported to have displayed banners at Satbariya against Prachanda who wants endless war. The banners read ?Let?s close the base area on Chaitra 12 in protest against murder, violence, terrorism and loot.? Meanwhile our correspondent from Dhangadi (Kailali), adds, two young boys and a girl were injured when a grenade Maoist terrorists had left behind went off at Ward No. 8 of Dhangadi municipality. Seven-year-old Laxman Rana, eight-year-old Bir Bahadur B. K. and five-year-old Tara B. K sustained injuries from the blast that happened near a local pond at 3:30 p. m, according to district police office. Of the three, Laxman is reported to have been in a serious condition with wounds in two fingers of left hand and the heel of the right leg. All of them are undergoing treatment at Seti Zonal Hospital. Meanwhile RSS adds, a Maoist terrorist identified as Kumar Pandey alias ?Prabhat? died on the spot during the retaliatory action carried out by the security forces at Salme area of Nuwakot district today. According to a press release issued by the Royal Nepalese Army (RNA) public relations directorate, the security forces recovered explosives, combat fatigue, logistical goods and terrorist documents from the slain Maoist. Likewise, one sub-machine gun (SMG), two of its magazines and 40 rounds of bullets were seized by the security forces from the fleeing Maoists who were injured in a clash with the security personnel that took place at Piuri Dobhan area of Kaski district today. Meanwhile, the bomb disposal team of the security forces defused improvised explosive devices (IEDs) planted by the Maoists at Kharchhuiya area of Saptari district on Saturday. Banners with slogans ?Down with Prachandapath?, ?Hold peace talks promptly? and ?Announce cease-fire immediately? were found along with ieds at Phidim area of Panchthar district. They were deactivated by the security forces on Friday, states the directorate. Similarly, the security forces conducting search operation at Mohanpur area of Siraha district confiscated a pistol and its bullets and three IEDs, eight detonators, equipment used in setting up landmines, logistical goods, and terrorist documents from Phulkharka area of Dhading district yesterday. One motorcycle used by the Maoists was also seized by the security forces from Ratanpur area of Nawalparasi district yesterday, states the directorate. In the mean time, the security personnel conducted a rescue operation when a passenger bus heading towards Biratnagar from Kathmandu met with an accident at Khadare area of Prithivi Highway section in Dhading district today. Medical treatment was provided to the injured passengers after they were rescued from the site of the accident by the security personnel, adds the directorate.

I think Gorkhapatra should just make the long story short and publish "The Maoist Problem Has Been Solved: The RNA Public Relations Directorate." --- To me, quoting political news from Gorkhapatra or the Rising Nepal is no different than quoting news from Krishnasen Online. In both cases, credibility of the news = 0. If the RNA is serious about solving the Maoist problem, I think they should come up with better strategies than spreading PLAIN RUMORS that a fourth grader can recognize as a rumor. One, If we don't believe what Mahara says, why should we believe comrade Biplav or A or B or C? Two, If the news is true, how come no other paper has it? Or are we supposed to go through every piece of news in every paper to see if this has been mentioned in the footnote? Three, The group opposing Prachanda were protesting? What the hell were the RNA dudes doing when the people, who were apparently involved in the war until a few days ago, were marching in the street openly? ---

As I told earlier... whether you like it or not, deal with the propaganda. No matter how much logics you put forth here... this propaganda will continue from teh RNA sides... and we know damn well that propaganda is one fo the tolls used in the war!!! Do you know what sort of propaganda Prachandapanthis doing with their FM stations in the remote areas of Nepal.... Kwasa.. now talk about that here.... Don't be childish.. digest it objectively. Don't take anacin for creating unnecessary headache. RNA is in control so far of the Nepalese media.... so they will obviously spread propanda, what do you expect...?

Bhate Maoists must be eliminated... they cannot bring their utopia concept of equaility in terms of wealth distribution. Why? Human nature is always greedy,, so by that inherent nature of greed in humans the society will always orient towards capitalism whether you like it or not... That's what we are seeing in Ex-USSR splinters and China and eastern European countries althoguh they tried communist styled society which never succeeded!! So f(*ck off Prachanda panthis. These bahte criminals are only taking the country backwards... we do not have shit time to deal this... we need to go forward. We don't have time killing each other for their nonsense insane ideas.

MeriNepalAama, Thanks for the news link. Now that I see in a more reliable paper, I have more reasons to believe that BRB was in fact "expelled" from the party. But,I don't understand how my thinking that this is a propaganda makes me a Maoist. Everyone who is against the royal move is a Maoist, I assume? PD, Learn some better terminology so we can have a healthy discussion; you call me childish just because I am questioning the validity of the news you have posted? And what's up with that logic about the Maoists using FM stations in remote areas as propaganda machines? The Maoists have ruthlessly killed innocent people does not mean the state should reciprocate in the same way, does it? The Maoists atrocities are condemnable. No denying to that. And may be creating propaganda will help the government surpress them, but why shouldn't any individual citizen be able to judge the validity of the news for him/herself--"objectively" as you say? Again, if you are interested in holding a better discussion, please refrain from throwing derogatory terms at individuals.

Now it seems that Maoists are declining in power. That was the thing I was waiting for long time. And I'm sure they will end up with no good thing achieved.
