I dont care who wins in this years election. Bush's controversial moves after 9/11 has a hot iron rod up his ass whereas conservatives still might trust him for taking the country through during the tough times of 9/11. On the other hand it feels like Kerry is gaining all the momentum especially after the vocal support of celebrties and filmmakers..so I think it will be another close one...

Anyway..I think American foreign policy sucks!!!Although..I have my doubts but I really hope the new prez will ponder more on mending already evil american persona. As a non-american I really feel sick of the attitude Americans display...esp egoistic..snobbish..ones..I dont know but the way America is moving it won't be long before the country crumbles into pieces due to domestic and internaional blunders...

Things you have to believe to vote Republican today and in Nov.:

Saddam was a good guy when Reagan armed him, a bad guy when Bush's daddy made war on him, a good guy when Cheney did business with him and a bad guy when Bush needed a "we can't find Bin Laden" diversion.

Trade with Cuba is wrong because the country is communist, but trade with China and Vietnam is vital to a spirit of international harmony.

The United States should get out of the United Nations, and our highest national priority is enforcing U.N. resolutions against Iraq.

A woman can't be trusted with decisions about her own body, but multi-national corporations can make decisions affecting all mankind without regulation.

Jesus loves you, and shares your hatred of homosexuals and Hillary Clinton.

The best way to improve military morale is to praise the troops in speeches while slashing veterans' benefits and combat pay.

If condoms are kept out of schools, adolescents won't have sex.

A good way to fight terrorism is to belittle our long-time allies, then demand their cooperation and money.

Providing health care to all Iraqis is sound policy.
Providing healthcare to all Americans is socialism.

HMOs and insurance companies have the best interests of the public at heart.

Global warming and tobacco's link to cancer are junk science, but creationism should be taught in schools.

A president lying about an extramarital affair is a impeachable offense. A president lying to enlist support for a war in which thousands die is solid defense policy.

Government should limit itself to the powers named in the Constitution,
which include banning gay marriages and censoring the Internet.

The public has a right to know about Hillary's cattle trades, but George Bush's driving record is none of our business.

Being a drug addict is a moral failing and a crime, unless you're a conservative radio host. Then it's an illness, and you need our prayers for your recovery.

You support states' rights, which means Attorney General John Ashcroft can tell states what local voter initiatives they have the right to adopt.

What Bill Clinton did in the 1960s is of vital national interest, but what
Bush did in the '80s is irrelevant.

This is in response to Babaal's opinion:

In order to vote for Democrat in this election, you must believe:

------------------------------------
Killing a baby is fine even up to the point of birth, but killing a terrorist is murder.

Pregnant teens on welfare deserve your hard-earned money more than you do.

Bush bombing Iraq to oust an evil dictator was wrong, but Clinton bombing Yugoslavia to oust an evil dictator was the right move.

Bush lied but Clinton was an honest man.

Bush spending your tax dollars on defending your safety is wasteful, but Clinton emptying your social security benefits to balance the budget was a good move.

Hiring based on race or sex is bad, but affirmative action (defined as hiring based on race or sex) is good.

Reagan caused 9/11 by helping out Afghanistan in the 80's, but Clinton didn't contribute by taking almost no action after the 1993 World Trade Center bombings.

That the more social programs getting government funding, the better, as long as those social programs are not faith-based because that would be "pushing religion on others".

Acharya, that was quick!

-----------------

Killing a baby is fine even up to the point of birth, but killing a terrorist is murder.

1. I'd love to find out where you get "up to the point of birth". Dems and Repubs agree that abortion should be limited in scope.
2. "Killing a terrorist is murder"? You're just making things up.

----------------
Pregnant teens on welfare deserve your hard-earned money more than you do.

3. Fair 'nuff. Though a very small fraction of your 'hard-earned money' goes to welfare. Most of it goes to defense, social security, and medicare. Some people just like to see their government balance its accounts.

----------------
Bush bombing Iraq to oust an evil dictator was wrong, but Clinton bombing Yugoslavia to oust an evil dictator was the right move.

4. Clinton didn't invade Yugoslavia. He didn't declare "war on ethnic cleansing." Also, the intervention in the Baltics was done under UN auspices.

---------------
Bush lied but Clinton was an honest man

5. I don't believe Bush lied. I do believe he failed to lead. Clinton was honest in the sense that a lawyer is honest.

---------------
Bush spending your tax dollars on defending your safety is wasteful, but Clinton emptying your social security benefits to balance the budget was a good move

6. 270 billion in tax cuts is defending my safety? Underfunding port security is defending my safety? Failing to secure nuclear materiel with adequate funding is defending my safety? I don't follow.
7. Social Security is not a trust fund. It passes money directly from workers to retirees. This comment betrays your lack of knowledge about the system.

--------------
hiring based on race or sex is bad, but affirmative action (defined as hiring based on race or sex) is good.

8. ? You don't make sense.

-------------
Reagan caused 9/11 by helping out Afghanistan in the 80's, but Clinton didn't contribute by taking almost no action after the 1993 World Trade Center bombings

9. The men responsible for the '93 WTC bombings were arrested and tried. It was resolved as a law enforcement matter. Reagan's CIA trained UBL in many of the arts he now uses against us.

------------
That the more social programs getting government funding, the better, as long as those social programs are not faith-based because that would be "pushing religion on others"

9. Sounds good to me. There's nothing a faith-based group can do that a secular group cannot, except religious indoctrination.

MAKE IT HAPPEN

One sunny day in 2005 an old man approached the White House from across Pennsylvania Ave, where he'd been sitting on a park bench. He spoke to the US Marine standing guard and said, "I would like to go in and meet with President Bush."

The Marine looked at the man and said, "Sir, Mr. Bush is no longer president and no longer resides here."

The old man said, "Okay" and walked away.

The following day, the same man approached the White House and said to the same Marine, "I would like to go in and meet with President Bush."

The Marine again told the man, "Sir, as I said yesterday, Mr. Bush is no longer president and no longer resides here."

The man thanked him and, again, just walked away.

The third day, the same man approached the White House and spoke to the very same US Marine, saying "I would like to go in and meet with President Bush."

The Marine, understandably agitated at this point, looked at the man and said, "Sir, this is the third day in a row you have been here asking to speak to Mr. Bush. I've told you already that Mr. Bush is no longer the president and no longer resides here. Don't you understand?"

The old man looked at the Marine and said, "Oh, I understand. I just love hearing it."

The Marine snapped to attention, saluted, and said, "See you tomorrow, Sir."

George W Bush should never have won the elections in the first place. His demeanor makes him look more like a circus clown than a President. I hope his rich, Texan, oil money ass gets booted out of the White House in November.

Every vote counts - although not all votes were counted in Florida in 2000.
To add our 2 votes for Democratic ticket (and AGAINST Bush), I and my wife finally got citizenship two months ago. Last week we registered to vote!

A president of the United States whose IQ is equal to his age is a disgrace. I wonder why the Republican party has very little representation of minorities (that is you and me).

Go Kerry!
